Corvette Raffle

May 11th, 2010

The Knights of Columbus of the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana is proud to sponsor this exciting and fun raffle of a 1965 Milano Maroon Corvette Stingray to benefit the seminarians.

From Father Brian Doerr, Director of Vocations,

How about a little fun? A very generous anonymous donor has given the Office of Vocations a 1965 Milano Maroon Corvette Stingray! Father Brian drove the car around the diocese for a few weeks, but found the ladies could not resist a sophisticated man with salt-and-pepper hair in a sports car. So, Bishop has decided to raffle the car and establish an endowment for the special financial needs of the seminarians. Once again, the Knights of Columbus is assisting the Office of Vocations and is sponsoring the raffle to be held this spring/summer.

Vette for Vocations

To purchase tickets please contact Joe Fendel or Ted Archer.   The council will be selling tickets at masses this summer .  Watch this space for details.

Fish Fry Results

April 13th, 2010

A big thank you to all the guys who volunteered for this year’s fish fries during Lent. This year’s effort was one of our most successful ever.   Our attendance was so well attended we added an additional Friday.  We raised enough money to donate to our designated charities.

Thanks again for all your help!

Great start to 2010 Fish Fries

February 27th, 2010

The first two fish fries of 2010 have been some of the most successful in our history.  Both weeks we’ve served hundreds of dinners and had at times long lines as your fellow Knights worked as fast as they could to cook up fish, shrimp and grilled cheese.

We’ve still got several weeks to go and need a full force of our brothers to help cook and serve.  Besides being the most affordable meal in town, the money we raise this year is going to some great charities.   If you can help, we can use folks as early as 4 p.m. and as late as 7:00 p.m. to help with cleanup.
